STEMlab 125-14 is our most versatile and popular product, which was introduced to the market in 2013 when Red Pitaya was established. Since then it has been used in wide variety of contexts, from hobbyists and ham radio operators to industry, research and space applications.
It has two 125Msps 14-bit inputs and two 14-bit outputs, Xilinx Zynq 7010 FPGA and offers remote access, with an online app user interface accessible through Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
Key features:
– Small form factor multi-instrument
– Dual-Core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore Xilinx ZYNQ 7010 SoC (CPU & FPGA)
– FPGA and CPU integration for enhanced performance
– Fast sampling speed:125MSPS, for the two simultaneous inputs
– And the same fast generation speed for the two outputs
– Open-source design for customization and flexibility
– Ethernet connectivity and optional WiFi dongle
– Open-source software code available with application examples
– Works with Linux, Windows PC, Android, IOS, basically anything with a web browser
– Free web apps (oscilloscope & signal generator, spectrum, Bode and logic analyzer, SDR, VNA, PID)
– Can be controlled remotely using C, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or Scilab
– Can be programmed to meet custom needs

Oscilloscope AND SIGNAL GENERATOR
Observe electrical signals in time. Generate signals of predefined or custom shapes, frequencies and amplitudes.

Spectrum analyzer
Observe signals in frequency domain, observe amplitude of each freq. component.

Bode analyzer
Measure freq. response of DUT (device under test) in terms of gain and phase.

Logic analyzer
Capture logic signals analyzer and decode protocols like I2C, SPI, UART and CAN.

LCR meter
Measure the inductance (L), capacitance (C), and resistance (R) of an electronic component.

Marketplace
It is a place where free of charge open source applications developed by our community members are available within a single click for immediate experience and use.

VNA (VECTOR NETWORK ANALYZER)
Test and optimize performance of antennas, RF filters and more.

JUPYTER / PYTHON PROGRAMMING
Jupyter notebooks enables beginners to learn how to start programming the Red Pitaya board in 5 minutes and scientist or researchers to easily exploit the full potential of the Red Pitaya while fully keeping focus on application level.

MATLAB REMOTE CONTROL
Control your Red Pitaya board with MATLAB – the easiest and most productive software environment for engineers and scientists. Perfect combination to speed up your research, prototyping and testing.

LABVIEW
Control your Red Pitaya board with LabVIEW – software designed for the fast development of any engineering application that requires test, measurement, or control. Great combination to optimize your test equipment costs and reduce development time.

OPEN SOURCE CODE
Regardless of the fact that Red Pitaya STEM boards are mainly intended for usage as affordable pocket size multi-instrument devices, due to the OPEN SOURCE nature of the Red Pitaya STEM boards software*, you may also use them as:
DSP development boards, DAQ cards, FPGA development boards, Customizable T&M lab instruments.
Users can easily develop their own WEB application by modifying the existing ones or by writing them from scratch. Complete instructions are available, describing all steps and algorithms. If you are only interested in the development in the areas of DSP, the APIs enabling the writing of the algorithms in the C programming language and running them on Red Pitaya STEM boards are available. FPGA development is also possible on the Red Pitaya STEM boards using the free of charge Xilinx Vivado development tools and instructions provided by Red Pitaya.

Sadly, i need a couple connectors and adapters to use the bode analyzer (SMA to PCB/pigtail). Additionally, i had a lot of troube due to the not ability of flashing the sd card by your adviced program! I needed to install another software called rufus. The pre-flashed sd card did not work, too.
Beside this, it is a very useful and complete tool. But until know, i was not really able to test the full range.
Thank you for your review, Christian!
Please note that all our units should work out of the box, and it may be just an unfortunate single incident that yours did not.
We do recommend in the online documentation and on our YouTube channel a software called Balena Etcher. An up-to-date version should write correctly the image file no matter what OS you might have. In order to benefit from the best performance and the latest bug fixes and improvements I recommend that you install the latest Beta OS from Red Pitaya.
